Woodworking is one of my favorite hobbies. I find it to be both challenging and rewarding. Depending upon your skill level, equipment and/or mood, you can choose a project accordingly. Large, small, simple, or complex; there is a woodworking project for most anyone with the desire to work with wood.
The three essential requirements for woodworking are:
There's not much that can be said about "Desire." Either you have it or you don't. The person who has the desire to work with wood will most likely have some accompanying traits as well. They see the beauty of wood and notice the various grain textures and finishes. They notice and have an appreciation for the craftsmanship that can be seen in a work-piece. This person will also most likely enjoy working with his hands and finds satisfaction in creating and constructing things which will in all likelihood be around even longer than himself.
