I am not a professional writer and it shows. Do no expect to read any wonderfully written pieces of literature here. My wording is not always the best and neither is my grammar. My goal here is not to impress anyone with my writing ability. I simply desire to share my thoughts with others.
I enjoy writing, but not just any type of writing. I do not care for writing fiction for example. As stated above, I enjoy sharing my thoughts, views and ideas with others. That is not to say that I believe my own thoughts, views and ideas are superior to anyone else's; in fact I appreciate receiving honest and respectful feedback from those with an opposing view. Sometimes I even find that my own thinking is flawed after receiving and considering an opposing view. Its not so important for me to win a debate as it is for me to find and know the truth. If someone shows me that I am wrong in anything that I write, I will appreciate the correction.
As a Christian, much of what I write is of a "spiritual" nature. My views are based on my interpretation of God's word (the bible) as taken in it's proper context. For this reason, for someone to convince me that what I have written is in error, they will need to show me by using God's word in proper context and proving that I have misinterpreted the scriptures. Trying to convince me that I am incorrect in my thinking by using any other means such as logic, or mere philosophy simply will not work with me. For me God's word takes precedence over all of man's reasoning.
On the few topics that I write which are not of a spiritual nature, I would certainly give logic and philosophies more credibility when considering an opposing view. When I write on such topics they are simply my own philosophies which are conceived out of my life experience, personality, and world view. Keep in mind however, that my life experience, personality, and world view are very much affected by my Christian beliefs and my relationship with God.
